Hyde Park Art Center is a hub for contemporary arts in Chicago, serving as a gathering and production space for artists and the broader community to cultivate ideas, impact social change, and connect with new networks. On exhibition in September in our main gallery is Yasmin Spiro: Cornerstone. This installation draws deeply from the geographic and architectural forms of her homeland, Jamaica, weaving together elements of cultural hybridity that resonate throughout Spiro’s practice. Also on exhibition is Emily Frances Winter: Apparent Paths in the Cleve Carney Gallery; Mark, Me Too: Five Artists in the Kanter Family Foundation Gallery and; So, What Now?, our annual teen artist exhibtion in Gallery 5.
