The Neubauer Collegium is unique among research incubators in its commitment to integrating the visual and performing arts into larger research inquiry. Established to cultivate interdisciplinary collaboration, explore new methodologies, and open up academic discussions to the public, the Collegium recognizes the vital role of artistic expression in this work. Our exhibitions gallery is a laboratory for collaborative experimentation, generating opportunities for creative partnerships at the University of Chicago and with other institutions worldwide. Exhibitions, performances, and other events at the Neubauer Collegium enable scholars, artists, practitioners, and the public to reflect on art as a form of knowledge that informs other forms. These activities help inspire new ways to visualize and think about the pressing questions of our time and imagine new solutions.
